Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
The short version. thedaveway.com is a simple, static information page. It does not run analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers. It does not ask you for your name, email address, or payment details, and it does not process orders. If you buy the book, that happens on Amazon under Amazon’s own privacy policy.
1. Who we are
This website (“the Site”) is operated by Dave Moore, publisher of “The Dave Way — Instant Golf Slice Cure” (“we,” “us,” “our”). You can reach us using the contact details in the “Contact” section below.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
The Site has no contact form, no newsletter signup, and no checkout. We do not collect names, email addresses, mailing addresses, or payment information through this Site. If you choose to email us directly, we will have whatever information you put in that email and will use it only to reply to you.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually all websites, our web host records standard server log data when a page is requested. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. This data is generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability purposes, is not used to build a profile of you, and is not sold or shared for marketing.
What we do not collect
- No Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or comparable analytics or advertising tags are installed on this Site.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.
- No sensitive personal information (health, financial, biometric, precise location) is requested or stored.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
3. Cookies
The Site sets a single cookie, and only after you interact with the cookie notice:
- tdw_cookie_consent — a strictly necessary cookie that stores your cookie choice so the notice does not reappear on every visit. It contains your preference and the date you set it. It expires after approximately 180 days.
The Site’s cookie notice also offers an optional “analytics” permission. This is a forward-looking permission only: no analytics service is currently installed, and no analytics cookie is set regardless of your choice. Should we add measurement in the future, it would only run for visitors who have granted that permission.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
4. Links to Amazon and other third parties
This Site links to Amazon, where the book is sold. When you follow a link to Amazon, you leave this Site and Amazon’s privacy policy and cookie practices apply. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.
If a link on this Site is ever an Amazon Associates affiliate link, that will be disclosed on the page containing the link, and Amazon may set its own cookies when you follow it.
5. How we use information
Server log data is used solely to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site. Email you send us is used solely to respond to you. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data retention
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period in accordance with their standard practice. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any related record-keeping.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because this Site does not collect personal information beyond standard server logs and any email you voluntarily send, there is generally very little to act on — but you are welcome to contact us and we will respond.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
EU/UK residents (GDPR): Where we process personal data, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site, or your consent in the case of non-essential cookies. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but because the Site does not collect or store personal data, the risk to you is minimal.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy or about privacy on this Site can be sent to: [your contact email here].
